How so I get the update? In settings it shows me as uptodate but I have no multitouch.

it will be sent to you Over the Air in the next couple days. The check for updates in the setting is only for if you declined the update when you got it and wish to install it at a later time.

What about the keyboard app? No multitouch there?

Got mine today, the multi touch for browser and maps is incredibly smooth. And my 3G does seem to active more now.

Woot! Getting this update much sooner than I had thought. I wonder if the Steve Jobs comments lit a fire underneath Google's feet.

This is another reason why you may want to hold of rooting your Nexus One. I suspect we will see a constant stream of Nexus One updates, and you wont be able to get any updates via google if you root your Nexus One.

I did a manual update with instruction from engadget site. It worked perfectly..
but one question tho... after the update I am noticing a bar kind of like this | aftet my carrier name in the unlock screen. I don't remember seeing this before the update... any one else have this same thing?? Its not a big issue I am just curious about the purpose of it...

hey guys, i was wondering if the update really fixed the 3g issues for those of you who already got the update... im planning to get a nexus one myself but has been holding off because of that 3g problem...i do get strong 3g coverage where i live though....(currently using cliq)

I've had nexus one for over 2 weeks now and I haven't had any problems with 3G on t-mobile. If you say that your 3g coverage is strong in your area and you have t-mobile then you shouldn't really have a problem.
On the other hand I'm really glad that Google is pushing update for their new phone pretty fast after release - it will make me enjoy the phone that much more.

For me the update did help my 3g reception, significantly.

I got my update today. It notify you that an update is available. Make sure your battery is charged. Hit install and wait about 5 minutes. That's it. Multi Touch at last, but you also get a 3G patch that fixes bouncing back and forth between Edge and 3G. Don't forget to try Google Googles. That also comes in the update.

I'm loving my phone even more. That's why Android is a more powerful platform for techies.

Anyone else not seeing the multitouch on the browser after the update? It works great on my gallery and maps, but the browser still has no multitouch. In fact, I also use to Dolphin, went back to it, and now the multitouch on Dolphin doesn't work. Suggestions?

It works for me in the browser without problems. Try different site?

I got my upgrade this morning and so far so good. Pinch zoom works in gallery and maps but like other post pinch no longer works for me in dolphin browser or xscope browser so I guess they'll have to upgrade those apps.

Oh and I do notice better WIFI coverage with this update... (I currently don't have a data plan b/c I bought the unlocked version b/c I couldn't do the upgrade)

Great improvements on the software! I liked the part where they fixed and updated the issues regarding 3g connectivity problems that some users are having. I hope that there will be more regular upgrades such as this for use Nexus One users.
